First time I've played eighteen holes since I broke 100 and the end of April. Was hoping to break 100 again to prove to myself that it wasn't a fluke. Ended up finishing on 91, Par is 68 so still 23 over but moving in the right direction. Absolutely delighted that practice is evidentially paying dividends now. Almost managed a double free front 9 having 2 pars and 6 bogeys on the front 9 with a solitary double coming on the 9th after smashing my tee shot O.O.B. Driver started misbehaving a bit on the back nine sadly. Been hitting it really well lately so I'm not too worried. Does leave the thought of "what if..?" lingering in my head though. Managed to get a cracking tan as well which is a nice bonus. Now if only I can move somewhere sunnier than Aberdeen I might be able to play rounds like this more than once a year

Next step is to leave the driver in the bag and drop down to a 3 wood/hybrid/long iron off the tee and watch your scores tumble as you hit more fairways

For sure. My driver is usually very consistent and straight but I need to learn to make the decision to drop it when I stop hitting it well.
