As title say just bought another club from eBay. I keep telling myself to get fitted for my next driver but its like a little devil is sat on my shoulder and tell me to buy it. What makes matter worse is my callaway ft9 tour is the best driver I've ever owned plus the wife will kill me if she finds out. Sent new club to parents to avoid a argument. Drivers I've owned in the last 6 months.(1) callaway ft9tour 8.5 (2) callaway ft9 tour 9.5 (3) callaway xhot 9.5 (4) bridgstone j40 (5) ping i15. And the new driver is a Cleveland classic xl custom 9.0 with a black tie shaft. I love a deep face as need a lower spinning driver. Can't wait to get it.will keep the ft9 8.5 but sold the rest except the x hot and that's going on eBay later. Why oh why do I keep doing this. I need to delete my eBay account ASAP

Tell me about it, I've changed my complete club set, trolley, bag and clothing since this time last year. I really have to stop tinkering but I need a different 3 wood or a less harsh shaft

You're not the only one mate - I have the same problem buying putters! Been through 3 or 4 already this year and still not happy!

I've been around golf off and on for 30 years and in that time I have seen things come and go. When I was at my peak I played off 9 and hit balata balls with persimmon clubs and Mizzy blades. These days everyone is talking custom fit and ball fitting. I say BUNKUM! Everything revolves around the swing. If you cannot swing for toffee then no amount of fitting will make you any better regardless of what anyone and I mean anyone on here will say to you. Get a good swing and you will be able to pull any suitable club off the shelf and use it. Get a repeatable swing first, then get a fitting.
Whoa! just seen your handicap. Sorry pal, thought I was talking to a rabbit, Please forgive my nonsense.

No problem pal I know where you are coming from. Had the persimmon woods and the Maxfli balata was the ball I used.you could thin your 1st iron shot off the day and you could see the inside of the balata ball. So managed to grove a half decent swing fast or it would of cost me a fortune. Have only ever been fitted for my putter and tend to buy of the shelf gear. I'm 40 now and have been off 6 for last 10 years give or take the odd .1 would like to see if I can get back down to 5 or maybe push 4 b4 I get to 45. Hope the driver will help.

If the OP recycled one club for another club what on earth is the problem. Women love men to get on board with environmental projects.you buy one club, you sell the club it is replacing. Makes perfect economic sense. Women love that too.

i agree that they don't need to know the ins and outs of the financial dealings. They aren't so good at understanding those so don't trouble them with too much information.

Know exactly where your coming from, got fitted through the whole bag last year from Driver through to Putter, on the day of my fitting my swing sucked, i persevered for a year but eventually thought enough is enough and over the last 2 months i have changed my whole bag much to the annoyance of HID. E-bay is not evil at all:)
