Felt like Christmas Eve last night, fell asleep to Bourne and woke up at 2am on the settee so then went to bed, couldn't sleep so back up at 5am  Really worked hard this winter, hope I don't get first day nerves :mmm:

Bath time now, then some breakfast.

How many times can you check your bag over

11.30hrs and 2013 is officially off :swing:

We play qualifiers all year but today is the first one on the summer(long) course + no placing. I rarely place anyway but several of the guys were muttering how hard its gonna be.

Another chance to go low.

Good luck today lads, I'm very jealous as I've got my feet up as I've tweaked my knee

I'm playing Slaley with the north east lads tomorrow so not going to risk anything today

Good luck lads

See you tomorrow at slaley kev and Brian (y)

No golf for me today it's the little ins birthday

But been told may be allowed to practice field later on :)

Just out the bath with Paul Weller blasting, HID just laughing at me, says she hasn't seen me like this since before a big boxing bout, isn't it the same?

Ya big girl! Get yourself out man.

Will I need sunglasses tomorrow Kev or will you be wearing something a little more subtle??

Looking forward to it!!

I'll be going a little more subtle, but looking at the forecast the Oakleys will be in the bag.

As for the knee, I'm really not risking it. I'll take the little'n out on her bike and make sure I'm ready for tomorrow

On a slightly more serious note, I believe this approach is more likely to produce tension and eventually a poor score.
I firmly believe that if we all treated our Medals as normal games we would score better - putting too much pressure on your game isn't a good thing.

Don't get too excited - it's a game of golf and the worst thing that can happen is a 0.1 back.......
Relax more..........

If only it were that easy! ;)

My first Medal of the year tomorrow, trying not to get excited but it can't be helped, cue a cack round of golf tomorrow!

Well were off, when I left the club at......can't remember but it was dark and I was wobbly, I was sitting 4th with a nett 71 and the css was at 72 due to the conditions.

Very happy off the tee, hit a good amount of GIR, didn't get into any trouble but......the greens were shocking and I reckon I must have 3 putted at least 5 times! There were that many bumps that I think a dirt bike would have enjoyed going up and down them, terrible condition!

I was 3 under on the turn but just didn't get going on the back although I was striking the ball really well, especially my 4 iron. I was playing with a 6 handicapper and afterwards he asked me to partner him in a few up and coming competitions so I must have done well!

Would liked to have done better but its a solid foundation to work from, especially much further back, in-fact, I was surprised how far they put the whites back with the course playing so long but I might as well get used to it now rather than later.

I was satisfied but the greens definitely had the last word
