Like most I want to play the best ball possible but don't want to lay the premium price for them. I used to have a reliable source of second hand PRO V balls but this source has now gone. I find the second hand ones on eBay a bit hit and miss with their condition. £35 a dozen new is making me kinda baulk though. I've tried the next tour s, for one round and it seemed OK. These can be had for £45 for 2 dozen.
So would you prefer to play almost every round starting with a new ball tour s or would you rather play with a beat up PRO V??
Do you think the results would differ greatly between these 2 choices??

I don't like playing with a beat up ball it has to look in good condition for me. Having said that a lot of my practice balls are just old balls of different makes and they all seem to perform ok when I'm practicing.

why limit yourself to only Titleist balls?

you can get new TM TP at the same price as the NXT and you wouldnt see any difference to the pro V imo

No sure, all in the head I suppose.iv just always used titleist, I'm open to try other balls

What about the TM TP/TPx offer currently on clickgolf? Buy 3 doz get 4th doz free, works out at £22.50 per doz. I've just ordered some with my name on so if anyone finds any in the rough you know who to return it to

So I guess the TM TP balls are taylor mades equivalent of the pro v then, and also the Nike RZN balls that are both coming in at £10 cheaper per dozen at least.
IMO I don't really think as amateurs, with a few exceptions we strike the ball well enough all the time to worry about spinning the ball.

Where are you finding them for £35 a dozen? Going rate is £40 is it not?

Correct. I tend to play with Pro V1x or TPx whichever I can get the best deal on and I couldn't tell the difference between them despite what some on here would say.
