Andy Caroll now fit again

I don't believe he's a player who should start!

Bilic has been successful playing 'the West Ham way' as opposed to 'the Sam Allardyce way' - which I had no problem with btw, - so there's no need to actually change! I believe Carroll's a player to be brought on as a game-changer, just like Felaini for ManU! Pretty expensive overhead though, so I can understand why there's pressure to take advantage of his 'talents' - at least on attack!

Agree totally
We seem to change a winning formula when he starts :(. There will be tears ahead

He'll be injured again soon so it will not be an issue. He can only seem to last a few weeks.

Good player if used correctly but unfortunately, a little like Peter Crouch, teams become obsessed with lumping up to him instead of playing normally.

I'm not a regular follower of football and from the little I've seen of him, he can head a ball well but don't expect anything more of him.

Without using too many cliches - just like Crouch he is good with the ball at his feet , has a thunderbolt of a left foot and can certainly play with his back to goal and on the turn

That's the frustrating thing - he is actually a very skilful footballer ; it just seems we revert to type and hoof the ball up to him when we don't actually need to

In the spell at Newcastle, just before Liverpool came in for him, he was looking a really complete striker. Very good in the air, improving with the ball at feet. His link up play was strong and he was unplayable at times. Unfortunately injuries have hampered his development. There is a good player in there, youtube some of his Newcastle goals. To get there he needs to stay fit, keep the weight off and be with a coach who sees him as more than just a high ball target man.

I agree with the Lord, he was looking a real handful at Newcastle and since then he's been injured and hasn't made it back to that level again yet. If he keeps free of injury, he could be really good for the Hammers this year.
