Previous 3 phones have been Blackberrys.
Love the email capability, but hate the phones (lack of apps)
Can Android phones handle email as well as the Blackberry?

Thinking of the Samsung S4.

Work is paying for it, but email capability is important.

And I do not want an iphone!

I have never had a problem with the email on my android phones, I use android on my laptop and also have a tablet running it and all devices are used to access and send emails without any issues.

Android built in email client isnt bad, handle all of the usual types of mail ie push/manual exchange, imap, smtp etc no probs. There are various cut down and feature rich email apps on the app mRket too.

The native email client on my Android smartphone is functional but lacks a few things that I need/expect to have. I use it for work (they pay for it) and it connects to our corporate outlook email. If you don't use it for work stuff then these features may not matter to you. Some examples, if you forward an email you cannot edit or change the original senders email. Also , telephone numbers that are embedded in emails (such as signatures) are not linked to the dialler so you cant just click on the number to dial it.
