Android Froyo 2.2 and wifi???????

Wife has a HTC Desire on Orange, broadband through Orange Livebox router. She used to be able to connect to home wifi automatically easily enough. But since 2.2 she's had all sorts of problems with it not connecting here, or anywhere else for that matter.

I've spent most of this evening researching it online and seems to be a common problem with no real solutions out there.

Firstly. Is anyone else on Android having /or had this problem, and have you found a solution?

ps. My laptop and iPhone connect all okay.

(I did tell her to get a flipping iPhone!!!!)

Doesn't help you but I upgraded my desire to 2.2 as soon as it was available and I've never had any issues with wi-fi, either here at home, at work or any of the other networks I use.

Never use WI FI.
