Andrew Castle?

I think he does quite a good job - though I'm not quite sure what actually is at Wimbledon.

Sue Barker seems to be be better at pure hosting. Castle seems to strat into 'Pundit' mode a bit too much - though has the credentials!

A mate met him in the breakfast television studios a few years ago and said that he was a right pratt!

I've met him a couple of times through Tennis.

Certainly had confidence/an ego, but that's really a requirement for top level sports folk. He wasn't the 'biggest pratt' amongst his colleagues! Jeremy Bates took that 'honour' by some way!

Funny isn't it, I would never have guessed that Bates was like that

Could have simply been a bad time (late 80s).

Distinct impression was 'good player, but no shot to fear - and serve not good enough!' Usual British high expectations not fulfilled?!

He's started using that Americanism "Are You Kidding Me" in his commentary, sounds like a prize git!

Some of the Tennis yesterday fully justified that expression! :)

I fear Murray just won't be able to handle Djokovic, who I believe to be simply (slightly) better. Though that won't stop me from supporting him. How much the match against Del Potro took out of him would be my only concern for Djok - post match interview indicated he wasn't exhausted. Murray's couple of dodgy starts might be a concern, but only for the poor decision making from a break up against Verdasco imo - the other set losses are really just down to weathering the 'unusual' opponents styles imo.

I'm picking Djokovic though.

Ladies a bit trickier to predict - generally is without Williams. I think Lisicki will just shade it but a straight sets win by Bartoli wouldn't surprise me either!

if Andrew Castle is the Mrk Roe of the tennis worls surely Tim Henman must be the Colin Montgomerie of the Tennis World

Probably, but Henman had no illusions as to his status in the tennis world. I heard him saying the other day that he wouldn't have lived with Murray had they come through at the same time. I played a lot of competitive tennis and even at the low level I played we knew who we could beat and who we couldnt
