Any fans on here?

Currently on Sky Arts 1 HD, a good watch and easy listening. An outside concert set in beautiful Portofino in Italy.

On til 10pm.

Enjoy!

HID has hogged the TV to watch the football so I hope it's repeated. Didn't realise it was on otherwise I'd have recorded it.

I was watching the football, but got bored

Are you able to get it on catchup? Not sure how that works. As you say though, sure it will be repeated. :)

The only thing that's brassed me off us that Liverpoolphil's not around to take the pee out of!

Have just checked and it's on Saturday at 8.00am so I'm sat at the PC and have set it to record through the sky website. Thanks for posting about it:)

Been watching him a few times and he is something else TBH. In fact i saw him in Liverpool only a month or so ago.

I think he does a concert every year in Portofino as i "think" is where he lives.

If you get the chance go and watch him. The show that he puts on with other artists, a bit of opera, bit of violin, bit of Flamenco is staggeringly good.

Voice is incredible. Will move you to tears (by the way im a 16 stone ex Rugby league playing ex Royal Navy sailor) im not ashamed to admit getting a bit bleary eyed when he starts singing

All the drama but none of the pretense (possibly the wrong word) of full blown Opera.

You're welcome! Thanks to you too, for the heads up on Saturday, I missed the first hour so I'll be recording it also.

I'd love to see the concert in Portofino, that would be something else! Can just imagine taking in the atmosphere, sat outside enjoying the balmy evening in such a beautiful setting....................

................................oh, it was just a dream! :(

Love him. his voice is out of this world. I have his "best of" album and while I don't understand much of what he is singing about it is one of the best albums I own. In my days as a doorman I used to put it on in the car on the way home after a night to unwind and calm down. In the Summer it was lovely driving on a empty road at 4.30 in the morning with the windows down, the sun rising and him on the cd player.
