Isnt it amazing how many cars seem to magically appear the week the course gets its first proper back, sack and crack of the new year?
Talk about struggling to find a space, I cant believe so many golfers leave it this late in the year to get their finger out and get a swing back into the groove. If I gave up for winter, I think Id have to be committed. Anyone else starting to see the "rush" on competition day?

Masters week, it brings them all out of the woodwork, every year without fail!

Yes same at our club, having said that played on Sat and the car park was rammed, called at the pro shop on Sun morning half a dozen cars on the car park, shop deserted and there were only a few out on the course. Then I remembered it was mothering Sunday. Guessing that a lot of us had to make concessions to our other halfs :D

Tried 3 local courses today to get a tee time for sunday morning and none of them have any tee times till after 2.00pm.

It was only a month ago i could pretty much turn up at my local course on a sunday morning without even having to book a tee time.

Bloody fairweather golfers! grrrr

First medal this coming Sunday, sheet went up last Sunday at 11. No phone entry allowed til Monday. By 12.00 on Sunday, 197 players entered, next tee time available 16.00, who won't get round. Madness.

Trouble is, without all those fair weather golfers our subs would be hugely more that the £925 than it is now!

Played on sunday @ 2.30 and could'nt beleive there was no one else on the course, the best thing about it was trying
different approach shots to the greens, and not rushing my
wedge play,it was great to concentrate on the round, instead
of the score,playing today arround 12 ish,forecast 18 deg..
