Suddenly on my last two rounds my GIR has shot up by 40% a round (I like stats and normally I'm chipping from just off the green!). This means that I'm now faced with a number of long long putts as before I'd be chipping. Definitely need some putting practice as my last two rounds, my putting has increased by 0.4 extra putts a whole!

where you regularly getting down in 2 for off the green, if not you are still in front and putting practice should get your putts per hole stats down, (doesn't work for me mind)

I'm lucky to make 4 or 5 GIR so an increase of 40% would still leave me wanting. I can only envy your progress and hope that later today I will be doing the same on the course.

Definitely happy with the situation though as sorting out long putts is much easier than hitting more accurate irons onto the green!
