Amir Khan

So he retained the WBC Silver Belt, what's that? a prize for the best also ran.

As if there weren't enough Boxing World Championship belts now they are giving one to the best of the rest. Its farcical!

Alexander had no answers, he couldnt get near him. Khan was so fast and sharp he looked very focussed for a change as well.

I think one judge had it 12-0 on rounds

I think Mayweather will fight pacman next so Khan might have to fight somebody like Brook before getting a shot at Mayweather.

I agree about their being too many belts, I even think there are too many organisations.

But that doesn't take away his tremendous performance. He wasn't really fighting to retain his belt but more so to move up the rankings in the welterweight division.

And this just shows how good his performace was. He made a former 3 time world champion look ordinary.

Virgil Hunter has him much more disciplined.

Mayweather would take care of Pac without getting out of second gear these days, the time for them to fight was right after Pac ended Hattons career. Still doubt it will happen as the two camps won't agree money or terms about drug tests.

Haven't seen last night but the scores and reports sound good for Khan, just wish he'd stop trying to bait Floyd by telling him how he'd beat him, Floyd doesn't respond to that.

Khan put on a great show and made Alexander look pedestrian. His skills definitely have improved as he's not so off balance when punching. I would say, even though he's fast, I think there's a predictability about him. It would be an interesting match up v Money; my money would be on Money. Khan v Brook makes more sense at the mo.

As an aside, on the undercard at the same weight, Keith Thurman looks a tidy prospect and would definitely give Khan a hard time.

Khan always looks good against Southpaw opponents aka Alexander, Collazo and Judah. He doesnt have to worry about the left hook. Any straight up Boxer gives him fits ala Garcia, Peterson and Diaz.

Paul Mcloskey also made him look terrible.

I enjoy watching Khan because he is exciting and you know at any second the fight can totally turn if he takes a big shot like he did against Maidana. But he still makes so many fundamental mistakes, even last night after the second punch in any combination his chin was up in the air and right hand not covering at all.

If only Mayweather himself believes that.

Floyd will now probably pick Khan over Pac and give more excuses to avoid him.
