No more than £50, more like £40. Even then unless the wood your looking for is at full price they may not even want your trade in.

american golf was only going to give me £30 for my old yonex driver i tried a few other pro shops every where else was offering between £60 & £70

against a new driver its worth trying your local pro shops first

local pro offered me £40quid! hes a rip off merchant tho!!

Mine is as well, £95 for Cobra FP 2008 4-sw but I really didn't have the time to go private as HID found out how much I was spending.

To be fair they were selling those irons brand new last year in Direct Golf for £175.00 so taking into account that he would want to make a bit of profit on the trade in the offer does not seem that bad. Trade in prices are always low wherever you go and whatever you are trading in.

Fair point, Golfbidder did offer £125 for them though.

As has been said, they offer peanuts for most things. I got lucky during a sale in may though.

Their shop in Cheltenham had the Mike DYMO SQ Driver for £99 in their sale but didn't have the spec I wanted. A few days later I popped into their Bristol shop and took my Callaway C4 with me with view to trade it in against the DYMO.

The Dymo (for whatever reason) was now £119.00 and to make matters worse, they wouldn't give me any money for my C4 because it was a.)old and b.)completely ruined (my club head speed had ruined the face of the club).

However, after telling of the £99 DYMO in Cheltenham, knocked the £20 off and took my club off my hands. So effectively getting £20.00 for it. Which I'm extremely surprised about, I didn't think I'd get more than a tenner for it as it was so battered and without headcover.

But yes, in general, try selling it yourself.
