Has anyone used the trade in service at American golf?

Not right at the moment, but in the near future I'll be looking to get a new set of irons as my t-zoids have been in the bag a fair few years.

I'd be tempted to trade them in for some wilson D100's but interested to see if anyone has used the service and weather or not you got a fair price.

I doubt you'll get much for them to be honest.

Have a look on Golfbidder for a similar set, see what they're charging and halve it - tha's the most you'll get trade-in.

Just checked - they don't go back as far as T-Zoids , they and AG may not be interested at all.

Possibly worth trying to flog them on eBay or Gumtree..

As said by Imurg they would give you next to nothing for them as they are pretty old irons, you might be better trying to sell them online or donate them to a friend who wants to take up golf.

Cheers for that. Is it not a pain on flea bay as far as posting goes?

I've sold things on there before (xbox etc) but I'd imagine it would cost a pretty penny to send a set of irons?

They do not give you much in store and it has to be traded against the same type of club i.e. trade irons for a new set of irons.

Absolutely laughable offers...

They (AG Braid Hills) offered me £10 for my driver, and £20 for my irons (complete set, 5-SW). Affordable Golf in Glasgow offered me £100 for my irons, but on condition I bought Wilson Staff Ci11s..

Look at Golfbidder, Ebay, or sell them privately as you'll get hee-haw from AG/DG for them.

More fool Affordable Golf - DG have the Swingmaster's in your sig at 16 quid each club.
You could get yours new for £112.........
Very out of the ordinary for Trade-in value....

Think it was part of a promo to shift Ci11s tbh, as I saw onsite that they were offering that against any full set of irons if you bought the Ci11 set. I didn't like them, hence no purchase.

got £15 each for a pair of 10year old progen wedges (cost around £35 each new) and traded against some new vokeys at the beginning of this season. vokeys were 2 for £130, but with 15% off for easter weekend sale - another £20 off. walked away with 2 spanking new vokeys for £80... not seen the young guy who served me and gave the trade in back in store since (though i pop in quite infrequently) - i hope he's not lost his job for thinking a progen was a vokey :o

I traded in a set of old old Wilson irons at AG Slough a few years ago for about £60, 5-SW. They were in ok condition, but so old the guy told me the system didn't recognise the model...

Does anyone know if you can trade against trade-in clubs or is it only brand new? Often see bargains in the pre-owned section of AG and if I could trade a set against them I could be tempted.

I got £40 for my ping rapture a few months ago when I traded it in for a rbz driver. Though it was a bit tight but couldn't resist, wish I kept the rapture now though
