I've got an old set of irons that I'm looking to get rid of and I'm trying to weigh up my options. Has anyone traded clubs in with AG before? If so, did you get a reasonably good price or was it severely undervalued? Obviously there are other options such as selling them on here or ebay but if AG offer any sort of decent value, I may go for it due to sheer convenience.

what are they and how old? Golf clubs are worse than cars for depreciation.
Get an online quote from golfbidder, AG will prob be similar

I have traded in with AG twice and was quite happy with the price I got. But much like used cars, the trade in price is lower than you could get elsewhere.

I asked about their trade ins when I got mine. They offered me next to nothing but the manager told me before looking up the price that they will only offer golf bidder prices for trade ins. So my advice is to see what they offer on that site and eBay first. Remember that they will not get much more than eBay prices for them I the shop, so they have to make sure they can sell them back on for what they gave you so will always give a little bit under.

Clubs are the di7s in my sig. They can be had for £180 online so I imagine anything more than £50 would be a bonus. I'll see what golfbidder offer.

AG do (or were) going on Golfbidder for their quotes. Usually not much as trade in values are notoriously tight. I'm off to Golfbidder HQ on Saturday to flog the TM Tour Preferred's as I can usually get a better price in person. I think AG were also taking clubs in as they did have an initiative to get them out to schools and clubs to encourage juniors but not sure they still do

I've just submitted a request for a quote on golfbidder. I was slightly unsure what to put for condition of shaft and grip as to me they look almost new but I never see anything above a 6/7 on the site so I just went with 6 for grip and 7 for shaft.

Honestly I'd eBay them.
II recently snapped up a Cleveland fairways for £30 each - they must have given no more than 15 each trade-in.
If I wanted to I could get that £30 each on the bay for them, costs would be £3 each.......

AG gave me a great deal on my old putter, that might've been to do wight the guy in the shop being sound though more than anything else

I feel the di7s are very much a beginner set of irons and the more savvy ebay golfer won't really be after them. Judging by the ebay listings for them with the same shafts as mine, they don't seem to be going for very much. If golfbidder/AG offer me anything remotely near ebay, I think laziness would make me go for them instead.

i've sold off most of my old gear on gumtree over the past year and have accrued around 600 notes. combining this with competition winnings over the past couple of seasons of a similar amount and i've been fitted driver through to wedge and picked up a couple of vokeys to having parted with less than £150 nett. it takes a little more effort, but worthwhile i.m.o - e.g sold my g15 driver for £30 more than offered on golf bidder, and mp32s for £60 more. it adds up quickly when you're selling a few items. just need to exercise a little patience. some items took a few days, or a couple of weeks to go, but have shifted pretty much everything in the end without much trouble.

My mate just bought a set of di7's off ebay. Think he paid £65 delivered altogether for 4-SW.
Not the best condition, say about 6/10 on the heads, 7/10 on the shafts and 8/10 on the grips.
Should give you a good idea of how much you might get.
