American Golf - Sandown

Just for those who are local/interested. Got dragged along to the Play Cafe to do a bit of soft play today and noticed that the Direct Golf has now gone from Sandown GC and has been replaced by an American Golf which is now open.

Wouldn't surprise me if a few of the " unwanted " DG stores ended up AG stores.

I now worry how long before AG have the high street golf monopoly, surely we can't be far away?

I saw this on social media. I have fond memories of learning to play there and it's still a great set up. I'm tempted to wander up there (I'm near there soon anyway) and give it the once over

I do and HID just happens to have some AG vouchers. Going to go with an open mind, especially given my AG experiences in the past. The Ping putters take my fancy, and I could do with a new driver........

M1 Homer. You won't regret it. My drivers less than a year old so can't justify it but my God does the M1 feel good!

I love the look of the new Ping putters but 275 is steep. And I know it's ridiculous saying that after recommending a 400 quid driver!

Can't be far away? I can't really name any other high street golf shop! Unless you class Sports Direct as a retailer. Good for cheap balls, tees, and even clothes, but not for much else!

I think the reputation of DG has folded faster than superman on laundry day so any club have washed their proverbial hands of them - Hence a change to AG.
