American Golf online returns policy?

The missus bought me a pair of trousers last week, but they were too long for me when they came (size on webpage said regular, didn't specify the exact length).

she contacted them to arrange a return, and was told she had to mail them back and could not take them back to the nearest shop. she was also told she had to write a letter explaining the reason for returning them as there is no standard returns form.

both seem a bit odd to me, has she got the wrong end of the stick?

cheers. just phoned the nearest shop, they said as long as you paid with a card, they can refund in store. if you used paypal, it needs to be posted back.
