What sort of MOT do you think you need.
There are some good pros at my local AG and I would have no problem going to him if I wanted too.
However I like to work things out myself.
I did get fitted for a putter about 3 or 4 years back and the same pro gave me some good solid advice then.

If it's the one they offer to members they will do a loft and lie check and also get you to hit the board (can't remember the proper name) with tape on the bottom of your irons to see how you hit.
It's free, it's harmless, as Pokerjoke says though, it depends how well you know the Staff, out 5 guys in our local AG I'd happily listen to 3 of them, 1 is keen as mustard and the other is a young kid learning and I currently wouldn't trust him ( my issue not his).

I had one in Belfast, I know the fella in there, decent bloke, got a free loft and lie check, couple of recommendations, but was happy at the time with what I had. Got the lie done for free to 2 flat, then a year later I went in, seen the guy and bought some stuff. It's a good way to get u in and good customer service, I think there are playing the long game with this, not just looking a quick sale but to build a rapport so you will keep going back.

Is it general practise to change loft and lie for free? I knew they checked them for free, then I guessed theyd charge for any work done. Mine are 2 upright, not sure I need it.
Worth an hour of anyones time if its free
