It's the USB Version of the Amazon Fire TV, Fire TV is similar to the Now TV box, except you can't pay for others channels, but you do get Amazon only TV series.
You can get both the Fire TV and Fire Stick "chipped" to get Kodi and other services on it,

I use mine for watching stuff on Kodi. No problems with the stick itself but not all of the Kodi feeds work properly, and some that claim to be HD are very low definition.
It was easy to setup, thanks to a link posted by Farneyman a couple of months ago.
I don't bother with Netflix and Prime etc, I can get all of that trough my smart TV.

It is a small device you connect to your TV via HDMI and you can stream TV shoes and movies to the TV. If you use Anazon Prime for deliveries it is a no-brainier. Quite a bit of good free content available and very easy to set up. Netflix still needs a subscription.
