Alvaro quiros

Great display of golf from him today and a much deserved win.

Although.......I thought that 3W into the 18th was a tad reckless.

When he is "on" he is so hard to play against as that length does give him an advantage. However he has bee known to put it into neghbouring countries off the tee sometimes and has suffered a few niggling injuries and hasn't featured as much as he should. Love the way he plays the game though, no holding back and with a huge grin on his face

That's the way he plays, he wouldn't be the same player if he didn't play those shots and somehow I don't think he'd enjoy it.

When you hit the ball that far you have to take advantage. Can you imagine how he'd have felt laying up, two putting and losing the playoff?

I don't think the 3 wood was wreckless, its a shot he can hit in his sleep, 237 to the green I think they said, wreckless would have been a lay and a poor wedge and a 3 putt to lose.
He us a fabulous player to watch, its refreshing to see such a happy chap on the course, I hope we get to see more of the grin over the next few years and maybe in the ryder cup, aparently the yanks love him too....

he was hitting some of his 3i tee shots 259yrds.......thats just mental:eek:

the shot at 18 is one of those where,if he messed up it would be a careless and mental error but when it pays off like it did they say it was "genius"....

well done!

you couldn't fault his putting today either. I'm not talking about the lucky 18th but the whole round, he was good from 6 feet or 15 yards.
Fun to watch once Luke was left behind and it was not worth rooting for him to win this one, but he did try hard.

I've walked with him a few times and he's just like Sergio but being much taller he spanks the ball miles. He is also a happy golfer
