...there's a double hat-trick scored in one match?

I know they give the match ball to the scorer but if he (or she) scores 6 then does the player get two balls??!!! :confused:



Come to that, I don't know what happens when two players score hat-tricks in the same game! :mmm: Anyone KNOW for sure?
 
I don't think there's a 'match ball' as such as most teams use a multi-ball policy so that when a ball goes out of play another one is immediately introduced to save time.
That's why there are times when there are two balls on the pitch at the same time.
I'm not sure whether a multi-ball policy is compulsory, but I believe most clubs adopt it.
On this basis there are several match balls.

Football, even at a local level requires the home team to have several match balls ready for a game
