anyone own or suggest a villa for a week in Aug? needs to fit 3 adults and 4 kids, private pool, aircon, wifi etc. not worried about being on a golf resort etc, thought would ask here while googling!

I can recommend a few dotted around Gramacho and/or Pinta which are 3 or 4 bedrooms and range in price from around £1k to £3k in Aug. Can also recommend some decent eateries

actual villa recommendations would be great, I know the area well, father in law had a villa on Gramacho that overlooked the 18th! just gutted he sold it when the economy when splat...

Have you tried Villa plus ? We have had quite a few from them in Cyprus and the Canaries , found them to be reasonable in the cost department and really nice villas.

Heading there in Sept. Got the flights when the first came out...nice and cheap! Will sort accommodation soon... love Quinta do Lago......Maria's Restaurant and San Lorenzo!! Might give Monte Rei a bash this year if its still there!!

Found them randomly after seeing their logo on the Algarve Golf Desk site.

All sorted now thanks guys, went via owners direct and have a cracking deal on a villa. Looking for a golf buddy for a day while i am there! 14-21 aug!

We're there 17th July - 29th July. We too got a cracking deal on a Villa near Almancil, we wanted one near a town. Lady owner has been a star. We are going to get a taxi there, no messing with car hire in the heat at the airport and she has put us on to a car hire firm in the town and also a fella (pro) who sorts out golf and club hire. I actually may get to play a round of golf in Portugal for the first time !!!
She has also said that if we put together a shopping list, she can sort out someone to get it all in for us. We got the last two weeks available for her villa so she gave us a deal. No wonder it gets booked up quick!
