My local ASDA have all their premium ales priced at £1.25 a bottle.
Great price and started stocking up for Christmas/New Year last night.
It is also good to be able to walk into the supermarket without being surrounded by walls of booze.
Banning multi drinks promotion and strict control of alcohol to the licenced aisles seems to be working well in Scotland.

Last thing I need to see today, more booze. Had our works Xmas bash yesterday, free bar for 6 hours with wine and dinner. Feeling shabby this morning:(

In Sweden arent supermarkets allowed to sell alcohol. we have special stateowned stores for that,,called systembolaget.
one advantage is that the are large buyers , so often good wines are cheaper in our stores then in the origin country. they also buy quality, the products are often good quality, if a product should be poor quality, they replace it......

WE also have good ale selection , imported from UK and swedish local breweries....have buy a few bootles today and some bottles of strong mulled wine....

Same as Canada, it really throws them off that we can buy cold beer at a petrol station in Britain

Don't drink a lot at home prefer to drink socially out...

Whilst out this week, with herself shopping, did find myself in the beer section though... Saw for the first time one of my favourite ales is now available in bottles... Hogs Back... If you haven't tried it seek it out... Also quite a few choices of seasonal ales got the St Peters one as I have tried their stuff in the past and enjoyed it...
