Played on Sat for only the second time in six weeks. Needless to say I wasn't surprised at only picking up 24 points.

One redeeming play late on the day at the 15th. Lovely long drive, but pulled the eight iron left and long of the green. Damn bank between me and the green and about 60 feet from the pin. No chance of a bump and run so only left with using the lob wedge. Beautiful soft high flight, ball lands five foot from the hole and trickles in for a gross birdie. Just slightly chuffed. However, next hole. First off the tee sliced right oob, the third pulled left into the pond.

I played with my off form best mate, a new friend to the game and a random member from our club who rolled up on the tee. I was all set to show my new found swing and ownership of the golf course. some how and im still not sure how, i let the others dictate my game. I said to one of my buddys before we started, "I just want to keep the ball in play all day today" I E no Big Al hitting out with the big dog. The random member guy, who I now know as Michael and a very nice guy seemed to be able to get me to try and thump my diver on every hole till i realised it was costing me bad.

Grrrrr hate bad golf on a sunday cos then there is no free day to fix it.
