Postmans back has gone again delivering all me cards.

If you luurve someone you should be able to say it every day of the week without having to line the pockets of card manufacturers....
Anyway, I thought it was all about anonymous notes and not ones to the wife or girlfriend ( or both!)
 
I said to the Wife, "Loving you is for life, not just on Valentines Day".

She said, "Where did you get that from?" :o

I didn't tell her I heard it on Radio 2! :whistle:

I'd like to thank Asda for dropping me in it.

Went and bought a card from there last Saturday from their Valentine selection of cards, nice big one with a couple of teddy bears sitting on a swing (and it does sway). Put it away until last night and waited until HID went to bed and then wrote a few (soppy) words on it. Imagine my surprise when I read the words printed on the card and it ended 'Have a wonderful birthday'. What the hell was a birthday card doing in amongst all the valentines cards?

In a way you're lucky being able to find a birthday card when one of these "special" days is nearby..
 
Had the best valentines card ever from my 5 year old granddaughter today very cute, was in a flower shop Saturday when they were putting out flowers said to the assistant ' it must be near valentines day' 'yes she said do you want some' no says I ,I will have 2 bags of compost instead;)
 
You can't win.........because of my good lady's illness she wanted to bypass Christmas and birthday gifts until later in the year.
I was also told no Valentines cards.

I found a lovely card from her when I visited the loo this morning.
I asked for an explanation as she had said.... no cards.

Yea but I thought you would ignore that and still get me one so I played safe......was the response.

took my mrs for a romantic trip to the walk in centre tonight having burnt my hand cooking lol, whats worse is i did whilst she was at yoga and only cooking for myself!

even worse the hands been bandaged so i cant hold a club and had to cancel tomorrows planned game :(

on the plus side pretty sure i cant do any painting for a few days
 
Well today - 29yrs ago this evening - at a party to celebrate Liz and Bill Bruin's engagement (God Bless ya Bill), Sarah suggested I might want to dance with her blond mate - as her mate wanted to go home but she felt that she would like to spend a little bit more time (ahem) with my mate 'Clint'.

And it came to pass that 2years later on this same day - that blond - Helen - and I got engaged. But no - we didn't get married on Feb 14th, and somehow here we still are today. Alexander and Rhona to the richer - and a lot of money to the poorer. But hey - nobody said it would be easy.

Love to all our friends in Bristol, Farnham, London, Aberdeen, Inverness, Glasgow, Tiree, and beyond on this day.

God Bless us all, every one.

You see that's what Valentine's Day is all about ( romance) and it didn't cost a penny. Apart from an engagement ring,mortgage, wedding, funding two kids, hair dye to keep Helen blonde. Well written SILH.
