Want to replace my xhot 3 wood with a Mini driver

want something longer on the tight holes where i dont want to hit driver

i never use 3wood off the deck always hit my 5wood

so this would be for off the tee

anyone got one? Hit one? Like or Dislike it?

I use a SLDR Mini driver and love it for the reasons your looking at one, I used it around the Centurion the other day mainly on the tight tree lined holes off the tee, it's more controllable than my SLDR driver.

I bought the Aeroburner Mini Driver when AG had a "return it for a full refund " offer on if you didn't get on with it and I soon took them up on it and replaced it with the (much better imo) Calllaway 1.5 Mini. I found the Aeroburner too light in the shaft and too whippy, like you, I wanted effectively a strong 3 wood and it wasn't reliable enough

I'v had and tried a few because in not a great golfer and the idea was appealing. The first one I had has SLDR mini was Ok and long but for my swing I found it too easy to hit to the right! So I looked around and my pro let my try the Aeroburner for a few rounds and at the range, I could not come to grips with the extra shaft length. Finally I tried the Callaway mini 1.5 and it has been the best of all the mini's I tried both off the tee and the deck and still use it from time to time but I have learnt to use the G30 SF Tec well enough to have it in my bag most of the time

As someone with a high handicap, I have found the 14* sldr mini to be a great help and has given me more confidence then when I had/ was trying to use a driver. So much so that I am still on the look out for a 12* one. Did not try the callaway mini but may look to have a go with one.

For me the aeroburner felt to light and I couldn't get to grips with it.

I have the Aeroburner mini driver, 12* and got it to replace my old driver which I couldn't control. It is great off the tee, lot straighter than my old driver!

the only reason I have now put a driver back in the bag is I won a R15 in the Christmas raffle at my local range and thought I should give it a go

unusual that you should claim the aero mini to be harder to control due to the longer shaft as it's the same length as the sldr mini ... and even more surprising that you now like the big Bertha mini more, as that's actually 0.5" longer shaft than both the sldr mini and the aero mini!

Got an 'X2 hot/3 wood' which I use to good effect off the T as well as off the deck, tried an 'SLDR/14* mini' with horrendous results so stuck with the 3 wood !...

Just my own personal experience though, may be different for you !...

Played with a chap off 2 who used one over a driver.

He hit it sweet as a nut.

Wasn't overly long of the tee but long enough.

Looked cracking with a Speeder shaft

I play with the SLDR 14* version and I love it. For me it was such a fantastic option off the tee.

I have had one swing and a hit with the aeroburner and I personally wasn't keen, it just felt a bit dead.

Looks wise they are a good looking club reduced down to £100 so definitely worth a go if you can get one onto a demo bay.

didn't realise that, as I said I found the SLDR Mini Ok and used it for while but my achilles with it was a slice, so I tried the Aeroburner but couldn't take to it, which i took to be because it was a little longer, the Mini 1.5 just feels much better, and I have more confidence with it, didn't know it was longer

SLDR Mini and the Aeroburner Mini are the same length as standard, the Big Bertha 1.5 is longer than both.

I have the 16 degree AeroBurner Mini to use as a 3 wood off the tee. I like it. Very straight. Easier to hit than a 3 wood as the head is a little larger. Very straight. It is a very light club, but in a way I actually quite like that. It does exactly what I bought it for.
