Hi all,

We've managed to secure the lab down at Wentworth in the afternoon (2-5) on Thursday to offer up the chance for people to come in and try the AeroBurner range.

As well as the Driver, Fairway and Rescue, we'll also have the new AeroBurner Irons and Mini Driver there!

Have offered it up on here first as I know there were plenty that were interested in the 'Back To The Future' event taking place in the morning. Ideally looking for around 6-8 so that you can have good time to try the products and although we can't send you away with the bats at the end, we will bring along a couple of goodies!

Let me know if it's of interest before I open it up to the wider world. Drop me a line on james.somerside@tmag.com.

First come, first served!

Will someone be running across the range with a giant advertising hoarding just as you're about to hit?

Actually Lol'd at that one!

Would love to come and try the mini driver out, but have work. Am waiting for my pro shop to get their demo kit in.

Thanks for the offer but cant get time off work. Really wanted to try the irons, especially where it could be monitored properly.

why did I look at this thread????

I promised I will take a break to get my mojo back. I even sold my TM super fast driver this week. As a TM fanboi I might try some irons and end up buying these evil things.... Thy shall not lust....

(email might be in its way)

Jimbob/James was out of office. Finally spoke to him and will be there for the afternoon session.

If I get Seduced tomorrow, then Will need to find an excuse to explain to the Mrs why she can't get a dishwasher

I'll see you there!

For those that attended this.....1) hope you have a good afternoon and 2) I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on the new mini driver if you got to play around with it!

Evening all

Had a lovely visit to wentworth today... massive thanks to James for allowing us to come along and try the gear.

Before I go on to talk about the club's I just want to say that I had the pleasure of meeting vkurup, having a chat and seeing him hit some balls. What a lovely guy..... oh and he should buy the 9.5 degree stiff burner driver!

A few of us were sent to bays with a bag full of TM gear to warm up. ... I'll give a quick run down of that:

Aeroburner irons..... The heads are enormous and look like shovels behind the ball, on looks they aren't for me. But they did go well albeit with a very high flight.

RSI irons. .... They look gorgeous and the performance is great, not any longer than my X hot 2 pros and I'd make them comparable. Nice and forgiving and I'd definitely consider these if I were looking for new irons.

aeroburner drivers.... I tried various versions and my 2 favourites were the 9.5 stiff and the stiff high launch. I loved the flight of the high launch and and found it very tough to fade but could draw it nicely. It was a very straight club for me. The 9.5 was probably the one I'd go for as it was pretty much comparable to my SLDR, very long and very straight. Again I found it rough to fade.

aeroburner woods.... The high launch 3 wood was fantastic and was what I tried out in the lab. In stiff shaft I was getting 246 yards with roll out. There is definitely a place in my bag for this club.

aeroburner hybrids.... love them love them love them. I'd easily put them in my bag right away. Lovely flight. Awesome distance. Love them.

Aeroburner mini driver..... comparable to the 3 wood in distance and very easy to hit, I can 100% see why those that struggle with a driver would stick one of these in their bag.

today was the first day that I'd ever hit white clubs.... They look big behind the ball and I'd had no reservations about having them in my bag

overall for me the aeroburner range seems pretty damn good. Everything is long. Everything was easy to hit. It all looked good and the price range seems great too. I think TM have done a good job on these.

Many thanks for organising this Jimbob - and for producing the continuous stream of goodies from your car!

Thought provoking session! The 2 clubs that went 'best' were the X-Flex Aeroburner Driver and the M-Flex Graphite iron (Aeroburner 6 I think). Shows how little flex actually matters! The UDI 3 was 'interesting' too. Not 100% convinced of the Aeroburner Fairways, but I think that's just me! My miss is high/low, so shallow (and maybe white!) faces don't seem to suit. The ones that I connected well certainly fizzed a long way! Has convinced me that a 4-wood would be an improvement over the current 3 though!

Hope I haven't put the hex on your 6-iron too!

yep your sample size looks plenty to prove that conclusively lol

Strangely enought the xflex TP driver also went very well for me, I did wonder if that White Tie shaft was simply a good fit.

Sorry I had to dash off, work issues that were supposed to have been covered !!
