I have a scotty cameron newport 1.5 and finding the standard scotty grip a bit to small as i have large hands. Anyone recommend something that is not massive but bigger than standard and has anyone changed to this and benefited from the change?

I use the Superstroke Ultra slim. Slightly bigger but not obscene. The grips on the new PING TR range are pretty nice as well. Alternative is do what our assistant pro did and have lots of extra layers underneath. Think he's got 8...

I use a Winn Mid-size,

Not so much for the size of my hands, but it helps keep my wrists out of the stroke..

Yep I'm with you on the Ping TR grip, good size and quite a firm feel.

Isn't the size of the grip on the TR putters a lot to do with the shaft being thicker to allow for the length adjustability...?

No I think they are midsize grips. I had a non adjustable TR Anser and the grip was thicker than standard. Very nice grips for me, not soft and squishy like some, I prefer the firmer feel.

The adjustable ones have to have the thicker grip on them, but the grip is available for non-adjustable models too.

I tried a midsize putter grip as I thought it would benefit me due to my larger hands (I have thicker grips on my irons). However, the loss of feel from the heavier, thicker grip was detrimental to my putting so I reverted back to the standard grip size.

From the discussions I have with ping there are two versions of the same grip. One at ~61gms and the other at ~85gms for the adjustable version.
I ordered one from here: http://www.thegolfshoponline.co.uk/ping/accessories/pp58-black-cord-mid-putter/ which is a bargain at £6.99 but unfortunately it was the 85gm version. Would be worth checking with them before ordering if the weight matters for you?
