Advice please. Tinkering with my bag

I am looking at making some changes to what I carry in my bag. Mainly in the wood area and hybrid. at present I use a 3 wood which I use off the tee occasionally but can not hit a ball well on the fairway with it. would I be better going for a 5 or 7 wood instead. I also have an old Dunlop 21degree hybrid, but have changed to some new irons Wilson staff d100's which have a 3 and 4 iron that are hybrid style so do I really need the 21degree if not what would I be better looking at. any advice would be appreciated please

Yes bob I have had lessons. but a lot of the lessons have been working on my swing and swing plane.

Take out the old hybrid and replace with a 5 wood

depends on the length of course, if you need the length of a 3 wood off fairways but can't use it then whats the point?

i go through hot and cold spells with clubs, if I'm not hitting them they come out bag and get replaced with something i can use, during range sessions i practice with the suspect clubs and try and get them working for me again, only then would i put them in the bag.

last few rounds my driver has been out and replaced with a hybrid, ive been 3 wood or even 4 iron off most tees without much compromise in length

a well hit 3 wood that goes 200-230 is better than a driver that goes 190 yards into the trees
