Hi guys.

I just got back from a holiday in Vancouver, played about 10 rounds of golf (bloody great golf over there, highly recommend it) and I'm now convinced I need to fill a giant gap in my bag.

I'm hitting my 3 wood about 250-260 and my 4 iron about 195. I have a 3 iron but don't use it that often and even with that flying 210 - 220, there's still a 30-40 yard gap.

Which loft hybrid would be best? 21?

p.s - Got through to the 2nd round of the singles matchplay championship ;) Had a cracking match that went to the 18th with a nice bloke from Burhill Golf Club.

I'm seriously considering a 7 wood again. Can't find a hybrid that I like or consistant enough with.

If you're saying the gap is 220-250, then I wouldn't think 21deg will fill that.

I would suggest you'd be needing 17 or 18deg (2 hybrid).

It sounds like your missing a 5 wood.

Basically yeah but... hybrids are what the cool kids seem to be doing.

I think a 19 degree Titleist 910H could be the answer. Cheers for the advice guys.

Strange thing just happened. I called direct golf to order my Titleist 910 Hybrid and the bloke on the phone told me I should get the Adams Golf - Idea Pro A12 Hybrid Club instead. He said it was much better and by far the best Hybrid available.

Is he just saying that because they make a bigger markup on that club or is he being honest? I'm quite keen to try one now.

Interesting that, when all my clubs got stolen last year they replaced everything Mizuno I had for new Mizuno, except when it came to my hybrid.

I had the Mizuno Fli-Hi CLK but the guy told me that the Mizuno hybrids were rubbish in comparison to the Adams ones, I listened to what he said and they sent me an A7 Idea and I have to say that it truly is a superb piece of kit.

Very long, very straight and very easy to hit, give it a blast fella, I dont think you'll be dissapointed!

Could be a bit of both, they do get a better mark up on Adams I believe but i also do not hear many bad things from those who have tried them. Certainly worth a go.

I was thinking of changing my hybrids to Mizuno once I've done the driver/3/5wood. Think again? I took one look at the JPX and thought...um...no way Jose. I'm sticking with my old w/s fybrids.....

I find the whole black/silver thing too distracting. I notice Ping have done this as well. Horrible.... :D

I use 2 Adams A7 hybrids,superb clubs.
Apparently they are the most popular hybrids on the U.S. tour.
You should definately try them before buying anything else.

Possibly, but we're not pros are we?

I tried 3 hybrids including an Adams 2 years ago on a LM.
The Adams actually proved to be the worst.

I took along my Callaway heavenwood and tried out all 4 of them.

Can't say fairer than that really. :)

Sorry, had to warn just in case.

Interestingly after the bloke told me I'm just paying for the Titleist name and I should go for an Adams, I got reading a golf magazine last night (sorry, wasn't golf monthly!) They had a what's in the bag of the winners section and 2 out of the 4 winners in the article were using the Titleist 910H!
