I've seen a cheap pair of Nike Heritage golf shoes I quite fancy.

However, they take 'Q Lok Scorpion Stinger' spikes. Can someone please advise: would I have to keep buying this spike, or would it take a standard 6mm spike?

I strongly suspect it won't take a 6mm, so what sort of money do you guys pay for these replacement spikes?

Any thoughts on the shoes would be gratefully recieved too!

Cheers

If its a q lok system in them they will take any q lok spike, no need to keep buying stingers. Think you can get a set for around £10 AG or £7 on fleabay.

For a standard spike in Q-lok then these.

£6 for 18 is pretty good.

Or you could go for the combination spikes.

£8.25 for 18 is still pretty good and both have free postage.

I have the bottom ones in my Nike Heritage shoes for the winter and I don't any slip at all apart from a little on the rubber tee mats we have but nothing like having spiders.

Thaks guys. Andy, do you rate the Heritages?

Very highly actually. I have 2 pairs now and both felt totally comfortable straight away. They give great support on the sole and I've worn a pair for 36 holes without feeling I even wanted to take them off in between rounds. Treat then with leather conditioner regularly and they will last an age. One pair are now nearly a year old and still feel the same as the day I first put them on.
I am going to buy a few more pairs to keep me going as long as possible as I haven't found a more comfortable golf shoe so far for the rediculously low price they are available at now. I tried on a pair of FJs and they didn't feel as good as the Heritages I already had and that's when I bought the second pair.
