Gleneagles:whoo: It has everything you want........weather unpredictable though but the spa and pool are the best...as is the Hotel/courses and covered practice area

Another vote for La Manga, Las Lomas village. There's the wah wah bus that runs around the complex that'll pick you up and take you wherever in the complex - was at no cost when I was there. We're thinking of going back yet again.

Yeah LaManga for me, bit of regular so I'm biased. Las lomas self catering apartments are great for familys. Hotel is lovely though, done a few family hols there and my wee boys love it....me and Mrs went last year for her 30th, I golfed she lay by the pool and done all the spa stuff - wonderful !

Golf Motel Vilamoura , near the Old Course or , Carden Park Cheshire , all you need , Formby Hall , again very good and lastly Dartmouth GCC in Devon , all you need and lots of deals , All the best

Take a look at the Verdura Resort in Sicily (Rocco Forte hotels), it has 2 championship courses and it held the Sicilian Open a couple of years ago where Olesen won. A Friend of mine spent the NYE there and said the courses were in very good shape ;)

Haven't been myself but I thought this is what Belek in Turkey does so well? Or are the resorts too orientated to the golfers?

Mar Menor in Spain was also very nice, and if you go at the right time of year you can get a weeks unlimited golf at 5 Nicklaus courses in the region for 180 euros, including buggies. The Mar Menor hotel was seriously nice. Has a spa, and a massive pool. Great facilities.

Really appreciate the tips, thanks. We've settled on gran canaria, the girls were put off by the words "golf resort" ( think they thought they would be left with the kids all day whilst we got in a quick 36 every day,)so we're gonna rent a villa, and the lads will pick and choose where to play!
