My wife has been the range with me a few times, using my clubs which are a bit heavy for her and fancies gettin a lesson and giving it ago.....

My question to the lady golfers amongst us.... Where do you buy your equipment from?? Had a look on a few sites and there's nothing much there, found eBay has the best selection.... Must be somewhere out there surly!!

Wasn't lookin at jumping in straight away I was just trying to gauge some prices etc....

When I was looking for clubs last year, American Golf had a decent choice of ladies clubs. I could have got a full set with bag for £180.

Irons Custom fit at a local pro shop, woods are off the shelf "men's" ones.

AG do basic "ladies" starter sets which are ok; my OH got some and they're fine for a beginner. It's all just marketing though

An experienced Lady golfer might prefer men's clubs - I know a few that use them - but best to start out with a weight and grip size that suits her.

Do all you can to get her interested- the chaps that I know who have golfing wives get to play a LOT more golf, and not just with HID.
I used to winge about my other half's absences playing golf, but now that I am hooked, I understand why he plays so much.

And all our holidays are now based around golf.

My wife plays and you're spot on. The clubs go everywhere with us.

To the OP my wife got her clubs from American Golf and a nearby driving range pro shop. This page was open on the iPad too so she must be having a look online - http://www.ladiesgolf.co.uk/shop/ladies-golf-clubs.html

I looked at ebay, gumtree and pre-loved. Got a full ladies John Letters set including the cart bag for under £75. It's just over a year since I first hit a club but so far have only bought a new putter as the one in the set just wasn't right for me. One of the other ladies who has group lessons with me got a full Mizuno set with bag and push trolley for under £100 (from Poulton as it happens!)so there should be bargains around. HTH from a fellow Fylde golfer.

My wife uses mens clubs due to her swing speed and tempo. It's all about the swing speed as it is with men. If she is quick and quite powerful then ladies shafts are going to be like bamboo.
Best course of action (seeing as she is already with a pro) would be to ask his advice on whether ladies clubs would work, could save an expensive mistake if they aren't.

It just gets bad when they beat you all the time...
