I just bought a new Yonex Ezone Elite 3 driver in eBay, but it came without the adjustment wrench. It looks very similar to the Taylormade system with what looks like a Torx screw. Could I get away with using a normal Torx bit if I find one that fits? I know the correct tool clicks when the right torque is reached. Can I get away with just tightening it 'fairly tight'? Is the correct torque super critical? Any help appreciated.

I've been using the same Taylor Made wrench for years, for Ping drivers, Cobra woods, an Adams hybrid before that... I always just figured all adjustment tools were exactly the same.

Thanks. You're probably right, but I haven't got one at all and not sure where to get one quickly. Do you think the correct torque is critical? Would it be easy to cause damage?

I don't know mate. As I said, the one I've had for years has always worked with different clubs so I never questioned it, haha.

It is to avoid stripping the thread.

Whilst all wrenches have the same torx bit they may have different torque settings.

e.g the silver TM one has a lower setting than the white one

Having said that I still use the white TM one on my Titleist clubs.

Thanks for the replies. It's good to know that any wrench will do. I was just trying to find out if I could do it without the proper tool as I want to try it now. I'll just order one and wait.
