Evening gents. Looking to up date the golf clothing I currently have, finished with buying clubs and balls!

Played last summer in a pair of regular trousers, which got a bit uncomfortable after the front 9 due to the heat (insert puns)
Seen adidas climacool trousers on a few sites, has anyone got a pair and do they do what they say on the tin?
Cheers

Soon as the seasons hits spring. The shorts go on. I do not care one bit if a load of old blokes/women don't think its right. So much cooler. (and ankle socks are allowed). I have worn linen trousers in the summer too on posher courses. Still nice and cool

I have a couple of pairs of the nike dri-fit trousers that are nice and lightweight and breathable, you can pick them up for about £30 if you shop about.

Got a lot of adidas gear and its great - i have adidas trousers with air vents behind he knees i like them bt shop around - you can get them cheaper.

Re shorts - I played football till i was 33, i live in shorts during the summer but one thing that looks wrong on every level are shorts on the golf course - I dont care if you have legs like messi and look like jamie redknapp - i would ban shorts from all golf courses - and I'm not old or a traditionalist - i just think they look silly on the a golf course sorry ! :)

I've got the addidas ones and they do what they say, BUT the waist of them is designed to go around the waist, ie around the belly button and not the hips. This makes them uncomfortable, if they drop down to the hips then the legs are under your shoes. You couldn't wear them there and shorten the leg as the arse would be round your knees looking like you've [****] yourself.

Just my opinion.

Another vote for the the Nike Dri-fit trousers.Very comfortable and roomy, and they are fine on hot or cold days. You can wear them lower on your hips too if you like! :D

Overpriced I think. Get a nice lightweight pair of strides in Primark etc for a shade of the price or wear shorts (but don't forget the knee high socks)

Oh they'll be smart, knob ,the clima-cools are nice but J Lindeberg are nice as are the new I Poulter,i've started wearing Adidas Y3 polo shirts really good

Also if like me you prefer a more fitted trouser they do the the border slim ones.

Best avoided if your a salad dodger though :) ;)

I've got some Adidas trousers, I think they are really comfortable. If you're 6'2" like me, they're hard to get in 34 leg, hunt them down because the next size down is too short. Sprorts Direct are selling some at the moment, but I got mine much cheaper shopping around. In fact, just bought a pair on ebay for £29

Not really linked to the trousers but i have used the seller highlighted in the post above for grips and various other things and would certainly recommend him

Another vote hear for Nike Dri-Fit. I have a pair of these that I bought from JJB in sales for £15. They are great in the the summer and also good in the winter. Would definitely recommend them. Failing that, Sports Direct do some lightweight Dunlop trousers which are not too dis-similar to the Dri-Fits, and only cost about £7 if i remember rightly.
