I do apologise about the raft of new posts, but I have only just found the forum after 2 years and have found it very engaging as well as informative. I guess this says a lot about Golf Monthly readers! Recently changed my clubs to Adams A12 OS combo irons which I love! Wondering about also getting an Adams driver, anyone tried the Super S, there is a good deal on at Direct Golf at mo with free fairway for £119.

The stock reply is to try it out yourself. Preferably on a launch monitor. And if it gives you decent figures, goes relatively straight and a decent distance based on what you'd normally expect then invest. Not sure what standard you are at, but if you are like me then the ability (or in my case inability) to hit the sweet spot in the middle of the driver will far outweigh the brand it is when it comes to how far and how straight the little white thing goes. But if the Adams helps you to hit the sweet spot then happy days.:D

I think one particular word 'inability' lol is quite apt for me as well lol! You are right, off to launch monitor for me, only reason I ask is that I almost feel obligated to buy when I go into golf shop. I have walked out with all sorts of things in past and had to hide them in shed

Adams Drivers are very good! I have several!! All perform well, th main one even with the stock shaft, that in Adams gear is normally well suited!

But there's no need to buy new - the 'marginal' benefit is very small, while the marginal cost is enormous!

Welcome to the world of dabbling btw!

Cheers! Used to have the Adams A3 boxer hybrid which was amazing, half the reason I opted for A12 set! Will def try out a couple of Adams drivers at local Direct golf now

Their range of hybrids is definitely '2nd to none'! But still worth matching actual needs/aims to selection!
