morning all,

I have been really struggling with my hybrid lately and was thinking of going back to a 5 wood (I cant get used to the shape of hybrids) and had my eye on a G15 5 wood on fleabay which got sold.

I had an email from Direct Golf (extra 20% off) and after checking the website I found an Adams Tight Lies 2 SS 19 degree fairway wood on offer for £60 which is cheaper than the G15 I wanted.

Are the Adams fairway woods any good?

I can't vouch for the woods but I have three Adams Tight Lies 2 hybrids in my bag and they are fantastic. They look great at address and they seriously go. I replaced my bafflers with them and they are better in every way. I paid £50-60 each for mine and they were a great investment. I nearly went for the 3 wood in the Tight Lies but I had my head turned by a Titleist 915FD. My only complaint is the quality of the stock grip but that is easily fixed.

I've got a Tight Lies 3 wood that is really nice. I only stopped using it because I went over to a Nike Covert driver and picked up the matching 3 and 5's pretty cheaply.

Used to have the Adams Super LS 5 wood and it was a MONSTER! Without doubt the best club I've ever owned but being to tool that I am I changed it. Tried to buy it back at more than I sold it for but no luck. Filthy long.

I am using a full set of Adams Blue Series clubs and love them. The 3 wood has been a standout club, goes a mile and is pretty easy to use off the deck as well. I have been tempted for a while to swap my 4 hybrid for a matching 5 wood.

Not the tight lies version but I have the super speedline model and did exactly as you are wanting to do, swapped 5 wood in for my 3 hybrid. Early days but seeming like a good decision at this point, very nice clubs
