Looks like the great short 12th hole at Aberdovey has took a bit of a battering.

Just seen a picture on twitter and although the green is still there there's not much left between it and the sea.

Great Course Aberdovey,
If anyone has the chance or playing it,definatley worth a visit,
Except in the next few days,

Really? Cracking hole.

Mind you, green and tee are all you really need on a par 3, surely...:D

Just seen the picture and if the sea keeps battering it there might only be half a green by Sunday. That hole is in real danger. Got to feel for the club.

Wow, that looks alot different from when I played there back in August! Hopefully there won't be any long term damage after all the storms have passed, its a lovely course.

Crikey..... Thats a bit close for comfort. There is not much room now between the green and the coast. Really enjoy Aberdovey, stayed in the Dormy house a couple of times now. Great welcome, great Sunday lunch and a fantastic course. I hope they manage to fix their signature hole without doing too much damage to it.

For those on facebook, have a look at the Golspie GC page and scroll down the timeline to 15th Dec 2012

They had the course fully open again by May and it was in great condition when I played it in Sept, awesome work put in by the greenstaff and members.

That's incredible!!!

I remember seeing the damage pictures but didn't see any updates - fair play to them!!

There must be a few courses that are going to claimed by the sea in the near future.
I remember playing East Devon a couple of years ago, just after they had moved a couple of tees.
