I'm finding threads harder and harder to read coherently lately due to the plethora of abbreviations included!:mmm:

It's not common well known ones either, which would be fine, it's as soon as a thread gets a few posts key words are abbreviated and I have to read them a few times trying to work out wtf it means before posting and looking like a right tool:rofl:

rtd
pp
fc
et
ag
eyg
sp
ds
bb

anyone guess at all these 'common' abbreviations above

just type out the full word fellas, avoids any confusion on my old brain and makes it easier for us all to communicate.

ta:thup:

right, just going out with swmbo for some tlc and bf before hitting the cc for some rt:mmm:

Well said that man! I'm guessing a lot of people are posting from phones and tablets which are more difficult to type on.

Still trying to work out what HID actually stands for, from the conversations I can see it is for someone's "better half"

Human Interface Device?

I don't really like them but there are probably a few that makes sense on a golf forum - especially when they might get used a lot in any one posting. I'm thinking in particular about PP (Playing Partner) and FC (Fellow Competitor)

Enjoy your golf.......please don't be like the rest and use it as it is soooooo NAFF.

[Anyone want to explain what NAFF is without getting an infraction]

Naff was invented by the guys who wrote porridge because they needed a swear word to use on prime time tv. As in Naff off Fletcher.
