First game of the year should I be surprised that I was so tired after 12-13 holes? It was really cold which does not help but having quit smoking and worked on fitness I did not expect to feel so tired and my swing really suffered badly over the last few holes.

I like to carry my bag but I could not help thinking that I should start using a trolley for Saturday comps?

I have a nike sasquach weighing 5.5 lbs is there going to be a noticeable difference by swapping to a 3.5-4 lb bag when it is fully loaded up?

So what do you guys reckon, trolley, lighter bag, or keep working on fitness and leg strength?

I am about to head out for a round now. with the hangover head, I am too lazy to move my clubs over to the trolly bag.

due to this laziness I will be carrying for 18 holes.

Just back from playing at my club and carrying is deffo easier there! Used trolley today for first time, wont be rushing to do it again!

:D thought you'd be on something stronger, toasting your charge to the title!!

Champers on ice ??:D

yeah at the moment mate

Got to work tonight

Are you playing at Blackmoor next week ? (10th ?)

There should be a ban on anyone under 60 using a trolley unless a medical condition prevents carrying... I'm going to hide now 🏃

I have found my concentration wavering after 12-13 holes on a few rounds but physically, even on some of the wonderfully undulating courses in Sheffield, no concerns. Even so I am going to start trolley-pushing this season to ease up on the set-down, pick-up of carrying.

I've not got the email:o, I was going to miss that one, but play in a couple of others later on in the summer. I just need to get on the circular :D

I can play in the first 2 i think then miss a few in the middle but then play the good ones at Liphook , North Hants etc at the end :D

Think i saw your e mail on the list ?

None of the pros carry their bags, so why should you? There are plenty of studies to show carrying has an effect on your game, no matter how fit you are. My game is certainly better over the back 9 since I started using a trolley.
