With end of the world style weather since christmas here i havent managed to get out on the course much... Iv only played 3 rounds since the 1st week of January....
Shot an 78 last week and today had an 81.....

I was 10 over on our front 9 playing bogie golf as best i could battling high winds, sleet, hail, rain, very wet ground and numb hands....
Turned on 10 and had a bit of a chat with myself and came home gross level par for the back 9... Talk about a complete flipside....
The weather eased a little on the back 9 but it just goes to show how much of an effect on you mentally the weather can have..... I know we should swing easier and take more club but when you leave your 3 wood 4,5,7, and 9 irons plus a wedge out of the bag your not exactly armed with the right weapons for certain shots....
But i managed to manufacture a few nice 6 irons from 130 mtrs into a strong wind that were perfect for distance and flight...

I guess you girls and boys across the pond are still getting a right battering?

Lucky you. I have played once since December 14th on a full course. At the moment, I am just getting ready for the start of the season which usually starts with an honours board event over Easter.

Well Homer... The course was really sopping.... Bordering on " Should have been closed " Ground..... So your not missing too much Pal.... Stick to the range for another few weeks till the weather gets a bit dryer and milder

When I was a junior, early 60s, playing off 14, I shot a15 over par 50 for the first 9, including a full wedge & single putt for a par on 9, followed by 1 under on the back 9. I've always been a slow starter but that was exceptional.
