Was watching the highlights of the Joburg Open on the European tour website and noticed that South Africa's Titch Moore was using a yellow ball during his round. Not often a player uses any other colour than white on either the European or PGA Tours!

I thought there were a few using yellow balls, Srixon players admittedly, Tim Clarke and Gmac. on the Ladies tours all sorts of Colours,

Just watched the highlights for Day 2 and seen a couple of other players using yellow balls! Definitely looks like its those using Srixon. I cant remember seeing a different coloured ball when watching golf before, but my viewing has been limited to peasant tv until i started watching the European tour highlight.

One of those using a yellow ball was Simon Dyson who also appeared to be using a small putter. Not quite as small as the one used by Robert Garrigus a while back but it appeared a little shorter than the norm.

I suppose it's down to how much sponsors are prepared to pay the players, some of which operate on fine margins. Who can blame them, although there are some who will benefit from seeing them clearer because of they are easier to pick up.
