Called into asda tonight to pick up me weekly medicinal support and bumped into a kid who played football with my lad thirteen years ago. Not seen him for about ten years. Anyway I asked him if he still plays football and he said " no golfs me passion now". He said he plays at Mansfield Golf club, which is ok for starters. He said it costs me £25. I said " bloody hell al take you to our place for £18. he said " £25 is for a month, pay and play. You can play as many times as you want for £25. Me and a pal are having a go at getting 25 rounds in this month and are well on our way, played twice today with buggies" <br>A pound a round, FLIPPIN Eck. Not bad yoth.

That's great value and a good way to get into golf. There's a place near me where you can play for free after 4pm on a Saturday, also for £2 you can play all day on their par 3 course.

it is with deep regret that Tashyboy wont be posting for a while as he is totally knackered after playing golf everyday for a month and is now currently in R&R until he recovers..

enjoy yourself Tashy and make sure you drink plenty and eat properly as you will be burning up a lot of yourself and not realising it .

Plus he still is recovering from having his nipples pierced.

It was the Albert that has done it, can't walk in a straight line and pulling everything left.Dont think it is in straight. &#128577;

The trouble is it is on an old pit tip. Mansfield Pit aka Crowne. ( Crowny ). When Coal is washed, Coal is lighter than stone, shale etc etc. So the muck gets put on the pit tip. The coal I burn. There is a stone/Rock called iron stone and it can seriously **** up your clubs when you take a divot and hit a bit. It is up there.
That aside, it is not a fantastic course, but and it is a massive but, some of the holes, 3 or 4 are gorgeous. Predominantly on the back nine. There are a couple where the fairways are twenty yards wide tops. Left or right forget it. There's an hole, where the rhs looks like an enchanted wood.
Trouble is as well, over the years it has been run by idiots. Nice driving range but the balls are crap.
ironically, it would not rate in the top 1000 courses in the country, but on the back nine it runs alongside Sherwood Forest Golf club which is regularly in the top 100.
When Tornado tash flattened Sherwood GC a couple of years ago, local golfers told the members at Sherwood they could play at Mansfield GC aka Sherwood B GC. It did not go down well at all. Seems the members at Sherwood don't have a snood humour.
