A list of PGA Players longer than Timgolfy

A list of PGA Tour players who drive the ball longer than timgolfy:

1. J.B. Holmes
2. Bubba Watson
3. Dustin Johnson
4. Robert Garrigus
5. Steven Bowditch
6. Gary Woodland
7. Angel Cabrera

Not to p1$$ on your bonfire, but, those stats are OFFICIAL, verified, PGA statistics, backed up by hours of video footage.

......... And your proof is.......?

Bubba at 11, Dustin at 13.
Cheers LTP So none of the 7 biggest hitters (8including our man Tim ) are in the worlds top 10...Me thinks this post has harmed alot of points you have made previously regarding lenght been important, may start practicing the rest of the game Tim ol son ..

Thats on average. If you played with any of the top 50, even 75, for distance length they would consistently outdrive you.

Big step backwards for Timgolfy here, I found a few of his recent posts and the sensible discussions they induced to be interesting. Don't see how you can throw your teddies out when someone is sarcastic now Tim!

For what it's worth, the Pro's driving stats are averages of drives that hit the fairway, I reckon every single pro on the circuit could out drive you at the range!

"The average number of yards per measured drive. These drives are measured on two holes per round. Care is taken to select two holes which face in opposite directions to counteract the effect of wind. Drives are measured to the point at which they come to rest regardless of whether they are in the fairway or not. (101)"

Just to clarify for those who did not see the The 320 Club thread: Drive 1 into wind, 260. Drive 2 with wind 340. Fairways run parallel. Drives finished just off the (narrowing) fairway. Was a proper round (nine holes) in which I finished +3.

I therefore claim my 8th spot with an average of 300 yards.

And where in the world would you be in terms of GIR? Putts? Sand Saves? etc etc.

I'll defend anyone's right to be a bit silly but you can't seriously suggesting you are comparable to tour players?

Go and spend £40 having a playing lesson, if you can hit it like your resident pro then you are still a long, long way from anyone on that list!

Please folks - let's not feed the troll.

I too thought Tim had made a few reasonable posts and then this hits from a guy who says he has no handicap but compares himself to tour players.

I have a handicap and I'd say the tour pros are playing a totally different game to me!! I hack and thrash my way around and emerge grateful for a half decent score - these guys are working hard to make a pretty good living. Tim - not sure I'd hazard a wild guess as to where you are.

These are averages from a course. I am sure 90% or more of the pros would outdrive you if they could blast it into a field instead of having to hit some short stuff. Get over yourself.

I think it's fair to say that you have nothing in common with those golfers.

But maybe you should maybe be aligning yourself with Jamie Sadlowski.

As a power golfer, he is a golf entertainer, and has no claim to being a tour professional in any way shape or form. When you can outdrive this guy, then you can start making the big bucks.

GL.

I have had a very tiring day raking and destoning bunkers then quick lunch and shower and to my evening job in call center where collegue is off sick so I am single handedly taking every engineer call in the country.

Needless to say I am not in the best of moods but that post has put a smile as big as timmy's drive on my face. I nominate it as an early contender as post of the year.

Cheers Golfy

Sorry timmy but even if you meant if self depreciatively you are not hte 8th best driver in the world and I dounbt you'll be the 8th best driver when you joing a club and play. Any remaining shred of empathy has gone with this ridiculous post. Come back when you get a handicap and start knocking chunks off it or winning club competitions. Until then I'm afraid its back with the ignore button
