Just heard that my brother is having to relocate to Germany in January, the rest of the family can't come with him as the lads are still in high school in the States, so he's going to need a bit of support so it means a great oppotunity for us to play more often together :)

I've checked out the budget airlines and I can get a return flight on a weekend for about £30.00 from Leeds Bradford :) but to take my clubs it's the usual £18.00 each way.

Simple solution, I'll just have to get a 2nd set to keep over there :D

So do I have a look around for a decent 2nd hand set, or use this as the excuse to have a trip to Mizzy and get custom fitted?

My current set up was semi fitted by the pro at AG in Lincoln after I'd been playing about 6 months last summer. No doubt my swing bears no resemblance to the one I had back then, so maybe a custom fit treat is the way to go and keep the new shineys over here.

I've got spare woods, putter and carry bag so would only need an iron set for now.

Do it!! get custom fit. Are you taking the new ones with you or the old ones though??

If I go the custom fit and new irons route then the new ones would stay over here as they would get more use, and my current set-up would get left over in Germany to be used one weekend a month.

Out of interest, where would the MX200's sit in the current Mizzy line-up?

Closest are probably the MP-53's or the JPX (non-pro's) I would suggest. All the others are blades or "dual muscle" type clubs rather than cavity backs.

Na they are like the JPX Pros. the MX 100s are like the normal JPX. They are nothing like the MP 53.

Fair enough. I was completely guessing!

I think the JPX range are direct replacement for the MX range. Personally I'd be taking the old sticks to sausageland and then going for a decent C/F session and getting the shiny new sticks to use more often over here. I know you are sold on the MP52 but don't discount the JPX800 pro especially if you go down the C/F road. Exceptionally good club and I hit the longer ones a tad batter than the MP53 (new version of the 52's) I tried

Yep JPX family is very long hitting, the JPX is cast and the JPX Pro is forged. I think your MX 200s are forged too and the MX 100s were cast. I was told the JPX is very springy and even longer than the Pro. They just looked to fat to me though.

Whats the love for the MP52s? is that your option if you go 2nd hand?

Yeah, my mind is pretty much made up! :)

Went down the range tonight, -9 so only managed to hit 100 balls, then went for a chat and look around the fitting centre with a warming coffee. Seem to have all the Mizuno gear and I know they've got all the electronickery having had a few lessons there, plus the pro knows my swing and what we are working on, so I think that's the route I am going to take.

I've no particular preconceptions about which set from the range I fancy, having said that all of the MP range look simply luuurvly! :p

Also considering maybe getting 5-PW then 3 and 4 MP Fli-Hi

I didn't mention the MP52's, I was originally considering getting a 2nd hand set to leave over there, but the 'lure' is proving too strong :o I'm weak, they are just too pretty to leave on the shelf!

So will definitely be a custom fit and new set :D

ye i think that would be very cool, I had a look at the Fli-Hi the other day. I would love to have a go on them.

My guess is that your pro with point you towards the JPX Pro or the MP-53. I think it kinda depends if you are looking to just get something like what you have or if you are trying to future proff a bit.
