Hi all,
I have been playing very badly. My best mate and playing partner said a few weeks ago that he does not think I have ever hit the ball so badly, even before I had lessons or got a handicap. Way too much analysis way too many swing thoughts and I got too big for my boots. I have been playing a bit with Fundy and had a game with Imurg, both very talented golfers and I think seeing them make shots made me swing faster and try and copy some of the things I thought I could see them doing. Anyways enough of that, I had a little break and on Friday night for the first time in a while I was really looking forward to playing.
Saturday morning came and it was COLD out there, wind blowing straight though us and every time we stopped we began to “brrrrrrâ€. I hit the ball so nicely from the tee and that is a big part of the confidence I need in my game. It was very sticky out there and the ball had no run to the point of making pitch marks on the fairway so it was a slog but I had such a great time. I just got pure joy from the game again. A good round for me in the summer would have had a once a week birdie, some pars (maybe 5 o 6) a lot of bogeys and a few doubles or worse. Yesterday my first par was on 17 and my 2nd was on 18 but only one 7 on the card and lots of bogeys. Ill post a link to the card, it’s totally unspectacular but a really nice winter card.

There are more blacks on there than I would usually like and they were in the main down to short chips so that’s something to look at but I make the post as I had such a GREAT time. Now all that is left to do is enjoy that feeling for the rest of the week and go back in the same frame of mind next week. I’ll take 32 points on a thick cold winters afternoon.
How was your game?
Thanks,
Alex
