I played in the Wednesday Stableford today and played pretty well. I had 44 points including a birdie on our S.I 1 hole for the first time ever.This was the only hole that I hadn't birdied on the course so I feel now that I have had a major achievement.
My driving was not up to scratch today but my wedge play was at its best. I lost two balls today to huge slices, which was frustrating because I don't normally slice the ball, so the score could have been a lot better.
We are stilll off winter tees and fairway mats, so the secretary doesn't generally give handicap cuts but the pro said that I may get cut with so many points. The pro also said that he will state that my play is generally better than my handicap would suggest.
All in all a good day, I'm really hoping for my 1st cut of the year but even if it doesn't come it was great to be out on a lovely spring day and whupping my handicap.
