Had quite a few Driving woes this year, and been extremely erratic with the big stick, despite the occasional peach.
So,......tonight, I decided to give my son's virtually new Taylor Made R7 3 Wood a go, Steel shafted, which I like.
I'm not sure what it is about Steel shafted woods, but I somehow just feel the head better, and connect better, the results being quite remarkable.
Drove the 2nd, 250yds Par 4.
3Wood and 7iron on 11th, 430yd Par 4.
3 Wood to 10yds short of 14th, 287yd Par 4.
Yes, I can Drive further with a Driver, but not much further, and not consistently, so as my son isnt playing much at the mo', I think its staying in my bag for a while
