One of my playing partners, off 24 handicap yesterday, scored 42 on the front 9 (with a 9 on a par 5) and followed up with a solid 58 on the back 9.

Any of you done similar?

39 our(7 pars) with a boggy and a double(par`d second ball) - 44 back with nothing nice.... It could have been something good....

Played my first links course Friday. Shot 77 a new pb. The very next day was -1 after 9 holes. Thought I had finally cracked it. Dropped 13 shots on the back 9 to bring me back to reality!

Do this fairly regularly but always the other way round. Seem to have a habit of going out in 44 or worse (36) and then framing myself and coming back in as low as 35 (34). If only we had a range :D

I had an almost game of two halves. I'm a 19 handicapper and I went out with a midweek group last week and I was stood on the 12th tee with 29 points including two gross birdies and a blob. I then limped home to finish with 40 points. Not going to complain but a shame to collapse like that. I think it was a bit of nerves and disbelief that caused the collapse.

37 front nine (+3)
30 back nine (-6)

putter was on fire...........t'was awhile ago now but I live in hope of a repeat:rolleyes:

Sweet, thats a problem I would like to have... Did you still ask yourself when you got in bed what you could have done better?

always in comps, crap front great back usually.

Although in the KOK at Ealing I had a pretty decent 8 holes then went belly up after the not quite halfway hut, the sausage bap cost me dearly!

Seems to be happening more lately. The other day I was +2 gross through 10, played the last 8 in +10. PPs were really questioning the 16 handicap for a while there.
