Tonight was the fiirst time ever I've gone to the range and not hit a duff shot.

I am absolutely over the moon not just because of that, but the fact that I had 100 balls.
All sorts of different clubs were hit too and not one of them would have put me in trouble.

Normally I'm rubbish at the range but this was the best session I've ever had.

Thought I'd share that with you all!

You're supposed to get rid of all your rubbish shots at the range, not save them for the course. ;)

This is true, but I've never practiced well and as a result never played with real confidence.
This is a massive confidence boost!

yup ave had days like that and come away buzzing, remember one of my first coaches saying it's all about repetition and getting your head, body, swing repeated. Doing the good things. Repetition was later changed to " ritual" as repeating stuff sounded boring and not as inspiring as a "ritual".
What ever it is hopefully it can be repeated on the course.👍

I'm having those days as well, it's a great feeling!

But I wanted to play today and use those good vibes. But this is England in March, the course is under a blanket of snow, and IT'S SO FRUSTRATING!

One of my coaching drills with good juniors was to go through the bag of clubs from Driver to Wedge [one shot each].
Every time they hit a shot that was not 100% they went back to the driver.
Difficult to complete and keeps the concentration going.

Bob Charles uses the range like a round of golf and plays the clubs required for each hole of the course he is about to play.
He takes about 90 minutes to hit about 50 balls.
